Parents of students: Got homework? Get help!

Here’s some exciting news for parents of student-aged children. The Los Angeles Public Library now makes available online help from real tutors through its website: www.lapl.org. Using the “chat” format, the Library’s “Live Homework Help” connects students to expert tutors for one-on-one homework assistance in math, including Calculus and Trigonometry, English, science and social studies. The service is designed for students in 4th through 12th grades and is available seven days a week (except major holidays) from 1 – 10 p.m. If you don’t have a computer at home, your child can still access “Live Homework Help” from public computers at all 71 branch libraries citywide and the Central Library. They can even print—for free—a copy of their tutoring session. To find a library near you, go to www.lapl.org.
